Sky River Natural Health Center houses a group of individual, independent practitioners. Please be aware that each practitioner is a sole proprietor with different policies and fee schedules and not all practitioners are covered by the same insurance companies. Brandy Rose Lipscomb, N.D. opened Sky River Natural Health Center in early 2007. She fell in love with the Skykomish River Valley as student at Bastyr University Program of Naturopathic Medicine. An avid whitewater kayaker and mountaineer from West Virginia, she found heaven and home in the rugged beauty of the Cascades.

Dr. Lipscomb served as a Combat Medic with the WA National Guard and was mobilized to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2005. While in Iraq, Dr. Lipscomb gained invaluable medical experience in emergency medicine, physical therapy and pharmacology and the leadership skills she needed to come home and start a successful medical practice.

Her style utilizes a practical approach to exploring the causes of an ailment and working from all angles to restore the body to optimal health. First office calls typically last 90 minutes. Each client walks away with an individualized treatment plan*change tailored to their specific needs. • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10am - 6pm
• Friday 2pm – 6pm
• Saturday 10am – 2pm

She is a contracted provider with Regence Blue Shield, Group Health, First Choice, Premera Blue Cross, Lifewise, Cigna, Uniform, Reliant, and Aetna. Other plans such as Community Health Plan may be accepted with a referral from your PCP or billed as an out-of-network provider. Please check your plan benefits to avoid surprises during the billing process. If you need assistance understanding your benefits, our office is happy to help you.

Dr. Lipscomb also runs a Low-Income Program that operates on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Minimum fee for a 60-90 minute first office call is $50. Brief applications for this program are available at the front desk. Dr. Lipscomb is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and serves as a preceptorship site for students from Bastyr University.

Amy Hinchcliffe, Licensed Acupuncturist was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to the Northwest in 1994 and currently resides in Bothell with her family. Amy completed her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Bastyr University and had the opportunity to work with patients at Harborview Medical Center treating chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, pain and immune deficiency. She then went to Highline Medical Center to work with patients undergoing cancer treatments. Amy is trained in Acupuncture, Chinese medicine, cupping, tui na, cranial sacral technique and acutonics. Amy is drawn to work with people managing chronic systemic diseases such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, HIV, chronic fatigue in which multiple body systems are affected. She also enjoys working with women to treat and manage the symptoms of PMS, menopause, dysmenorrhea, and infertility. Acupuncture is able to work with the whole body to correct multiple imbalances. Acupuncture is very effective in the treatment of pain and this is the most prominent referral received from medical doctors. Any ailment from muscle pain and headaches to pain caused by digestive disorders can be effectively managed with acupuncture.
